e-Borders is being delivered in partnership between the Trusted Borders consortium, the UK Border Agency and its key partners. The Programme is a key component of the Government's border transformation strategy which aims to deliver a modernised border control that is fundamentally more effective, efficient and secure in order to meet the future operating needs of the border agencies.
What does the Programme do?
The e-Borders Programme captures passenger, service and crew data provided by carriers (air, sea and rail), in respect of all journeys to and from the United Kingdom in advance of travel, supporting an intelligence-led approach to operating border controls.
